This company called my son's cell phone looking for me and informed him that they were looking for payment on a past due account that would be turned over to a collection agency if I didn't resolve the case in three days. The did provide a case number but nothing else.
I contacted this number and provided them with the case number and asked what this was about. They requested the last four of my social security number which I refused to provide. I had also blocked my caller ID on my phone prior to calling their number. The "agent" refused to discuss any details on the matter unless I provided the last four of my SSN and because my caller ID was blocked, they considered this a fictitious phone call.
