I received a letter in the mail yesterday postmarked from Canada. There was no return address on the envelope, but the letterhead on the enclosed letter read "IDI Distributors, Inc." of Chanhassen, MN. The letter contained the details of a proposal for me to become a "mystery shopper", along with a check in the amount of $1,376.30. After reading the letter, I became suspicious and looked up "IDI Distributors Inc." on the internet. Evidently, the company, which distributes insulation products, is legitimate, but the offer contained in the letter, along with the check, isn't.
