A lady by the name of Nancy Dixon called my home and left a message with my son saying that it was a warrant out for my arrest. So I returned her call and she said I need to pay 1700 today and also stated that they were coming to my job to arrest me if I didn pay. I was so upset and scared. She really couldn't give me any information. When I had lawyer to call her she would not say any thing and she got angry cause she was asking alot of questions and hung up the phone. Please don'do not talk to these ppl and I repeat don't give them any information. What type of business person would leave that kind of information with a child. I informed the police department.

Call comes through up to 4 times a day, stating his name is "Derrick" and you are qualified for a "Small Business Loan" please call 1-888-364-6330. When you call and want to opt out it goes to the desk of "Wilson Ray" (same voice as "Derrick"). When call comes in, it rings in as "Unknown, Restricted".

I received this phone call the other day and they said they were from my financial institution that handles my student loans. I contacted my bank and they said they have no loan forgiveness information. So, I gave them the phone number, the extension and the name of the person who contacted me.
It is a complete scam! Do not fall for it!!

Won't take no for an answer. They called for free trial website and I told them I was not interested and wanted to speak to supervisor. After a few seconds of no talking (background noise sounded like a TV on)another voice came on (last time same voice came on) and I said to take us off of their list. 25 mins. later they called back again!

Oh yeah. Somewhere in the telephone call from "Bobby Roy" he said I would have to pay 1% for the prize - $ 255.00 and that I would have to go to WalMart to get the money for them. I told him that was a lot of trouble for me...especially since I was the one who was "lucky" to win $ 255,000. Besides, I told him, I expected a tv crew and camera people to arrive at my door and give me the prize!!

Another article below re the scam:

Do Not DIAL AREA CODE 809, 284, AND 876

Posted on: Mar 2, 2009.

The phone scam is going around again. Below are some of the details with a link to ATT’s website for more information.

We actually received a call last week from the 809 area code. The woman said ‘Hey, this is Karen . Sorry I missed you–get back to us quickly. I have something important to tell you.’ Then she repeated a phone number beginning with 809 We didn’t respond.
Then this week, we received the following e-mail:
Do Not DIAL AREA CODE 809, 284, AND 876
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION

876 Area Code Scam article copied from another scam alert site:
876, 809, 284, or 649 Area Code Scam

Beware long distance phone scam causes consumers to inadvertently incur high charges on their phone bills. Consumers usually receive a message telling them to call a phone number with an 809, 284, 649, or 876 area code in order to collect a prize, find out information about a sick relative, etc. The caller assumes the number is a typical three-digit U.S. area code; however, the caller is actually connected to a phone number outside the United States, often in Canada or the Caribbean, and charged international call rates. Unfortunately, consumers don't find out that they have been charged higher international call rates until they receive their bill.

I received a call from 876-395-5341 this morning, 8-13-2013, at 9:30 AM CST, from a guy who claimed to be Bobby Roy and saying that I had won "megamillion" dollars or something like that (I could barely understand him.) and that because I had paid my bills on time to vendors like "WalMart, KMart, and CVS" that I was to receive money at 2:30 this afternoon...via UPS. He said that the "people where at the IRS office in Ocean Springs, MS at that moment and would be in my area at 2:30." After my asking a lot of questions to ferret out the scam, "Bobby" informed me that this was no "scam." After asking him questions over and over again, Bobby said that I had a package with a check for $255,000 due me...asked me questions about how far away was the nearest WalMart and other questions that I told him had no value as far as my winning monies. When I inquired about the prize money, he said it was 2nd place. I asked what first place was and he said "$ 1.5 million and a Mercedes."
When I asked where he was calling from at the beginning of our conversation, he said Washington, DC. So after our long discussion, I asked again and he repeated "Washington, DC." I then asked him, why did his number show up as a Jamaica telephone # if he was calling from DC. His reply was some sort of "bouncing off a satellite for better reception" crap. Having gone weary of the bull****, I just hung up. Geeze...I guess I missed out on my $ 255,000; however, in the event the check arrives at 2:30 today, I will gladly print a retraction...;)

The charges for that conversation will probably appear on my telephone bill next month!

A person by the name of Nancy Dixon called my job about a pending case against me for fraud of writing checks. I have not have a bank account in over 5 years and had to deal with similar calls like this. I don't understand how these calls keep filtering through, harrassing people, and using different numbers.
