I received a call from 876-395-5341 this morning, 8-13-2013, at 9:30 AM CST, from a guy who claimed to be Bobby Roy and saying that I had won "megamillion" dollars or something like that (I could barely understand him.) and that because I had paid my bills on time to vendors like "WalMart, KMart, and CVS" that I was to receive money at 2:30 this afternoon...via UPS. He said that the "people where at the IRS office in Ocean Springs, MS at that moment and would be in my area at 2:30." After my asking a lot of questions to ferret out the scam, "Bobby" informed me that this was no "scam." After asking him questions over and over again, Bobby said that I had a package with a check for $255,000 due me...asked me questions about how far away was the nearest WalMart and other questions that I told him had no value as far as my winning monies. When I inquired about the prize money, he said it was 2nd place. I asked what first place was and he said "$ 1.5 million and a Mercedes."
When I asked where he was calling from at the beginning of our conversation, he said Washington, DC. So after our long discussion, I asked again and he repeated "Washington, DC." I then asked him, why did his number show up as a Jamaica telephone # if he was calling from DC. His reply was some sort of "bouncing off a satellite for better reception" crap. Having gone weary of the bull****, I just hung up. Geeze...I guess I missed out on my $ 255,000; however, in the event the check arrives at 2:30 today, I will gladly print a retraction...;)
The charges for that conversation will probably appear on my telephone bill next month!
