They claimed to need to talk to one of us right away, left no name, but implied something very threatening. I'm very certain they are, likely, con and scam artists. They need to be reported to the FTC, and we need to keep many recordings to shut them down.

Mystery Woman:

Some guy by the name of Phillip Larson along with someone else just started calling me after January 1st. I do not know why they are calling me, and continually leave the message that they are going to garnish my wages. For what? I don't know these people and do not have any outstanding debt. These people are threatening and I want it to stop. The other phone number is 302-565-4561 that I got from their website. Very unethical and very threatening, but they don't scare me.

The caller says he is Joe Vayzahn (?), but the caller I.D. says Justin Adams. He claims he found my resume on Monster but does not say what company he is calling from. He merely says, "an exciting opportunity." Has anyone had a similar call? Or can anyone verify the validity of this call? It seems like a scam. Especially since he did not disclose where he was calling from. I get similar ads in my email saying they have an "exciting opportunity" but then find out they are credit scams. I would appreciate any help anyone could provide.

Banker:

This phone number belongs to a scammer that is supposedly recruiting people as mystery shoppers. Sends fraudulent bank checks over $2,000. Tells them to keep $200 for their salary and then spend $20 at some retail establishment. They are then to wire remainig money (which typically over $2,000) by Western Union to two other mystery shoppers in the Phillipines.

Don’t bother to call the FTC or fill out the complaint forms. They’re a bunch of jackoffs and they won’t do one damned thing to help you. They don’t really have any power to do anything. I got a call from these folks too. I know how the rest of you guys feel and perhaps I can suggest a solution. If you are willing to pay the price you can stop these calls. Call blocking as it is currently available from service providers is not useful since they only allow you to block about 5-10 numbers. At least that's all AT&T will do. I decided this wasn't good enough and did some research. If you want to spend the money, you can buy a device that will block up to 80 numbers from calling you. It is called a DIGITONE call blocker and it runs about one hundred dollars, and can be purchased from DIGITONE COMMUNICATIONS at 6501 E. Greenway Parkway. Ste. 103-622, Scottsdale, AZ 85254 They can be reached by phone during business hours at: 1-877-610-5693 or visit their website at www.digitone.com. This device saved my peace and quiet and will do the same for you. If you don't want to spend the hundred dollars, then there's not a whole lot you can do, but there is one thing that might help. Some of these bozos have not set their autodialing programs to take care of this particular tactic. Go on the internet and download a WAV file of the Special Information Tone. This is that annoying series of 3 notes that you hear if a number has been disconnected. Set your answering machine to answer after two rings(this is very important) and then record that tone as your answering message. If you are lucky, then they will not have turned off the feature that listens for this tone and deletes disconnected numbers. This only works about 1/3 of the time but it's worth a try if you don't want to spend any money.

These idiots from TELSTAR HOSTED @ 209-593-5814 call 10 or more times per day and leave no message and have called for the last several months! I actually picked up the telephone today, and a man said you can save on your PG&E bill. I interrupted him and told him that we are on the "FEDERAL REGISTRY OF DO NOT CALL LIST" and to stop calling my phone in a belligerent voice! He said, "We are NOT a telemarketer You don't need to yell at me". I stated emphatically, "If you call my number again, I will sue your company". He said that he would remove my phone number (and as we all know, the "DO NOT CALL LIST" is a waste of taxpayer money! Thanks, for the "FEDERAL DO NOT CALL LIST" congress!

I received a text from 646-580-4731. This is a guy that offered to buy and item that I was selling on Craigslist for $300. He sent me a cashiers check for $2500 and wants me to keep the $300 for the item and an extra $100 for my trouble, then wire him the remaining $2100. I told him I cashed the check and he has been bugging me through email to wire him the money. Now he got my cell phone number and has texted me to wire him the money. I have been playing him along for several weeks now. I guess I should stop it and just tell him to go to hell. I hope nobody falls for this piece of sh*t's scam. He uses very broken english.

Who Called:

Nothing that you do will stop them from calling you. The major players behind this have made millions of dollars, which means that they are too big to fail.
One of the major players specializes in aiding the rich with tax evasion and shell corporations set up in Belize. You can bet that the well to do in this country are not getting lower your credit card interest rate calls and due to that fact our government just considers a few phone calls a minor annoyance.
The FCC has temporarily halted 5 of the minor unprofitable boiler rooms. They will receive a slap on the wrist and be back at it within a few days.

In the meantime the calls will continue since the major money is being made with what is called a CNAM revenue-sharing program through companies like http://www.telephonemanagement.net and http://www.CallerID4U.com
In their own words: 'Every day your company makes thousands of outbound phone calls. Every one of those calls generates revenue for many companies, why not yours? Our CNAM revenue-sharing program helps you make money every time a Caller ID request is made by a phone carrier. A high-traffic call center can lose hundreds to thousands of dollars a day to phone carriers by allowing them to charge for access to your own data.'

You can now see why the criminals keep calling even though they know you won't fall for their scam. They are making money even if you don't answer the phone. If someone does make the mistake of answering the phone and falling for their con then it is just icing on the cake for them. These people are the lowest form of filth on this planet. The only way to stop this is to contact the FBI and ask why this crime family is allowed to operate and facilitate the ongoing criminal operations. This is one of the reasons that the RICO act was put in place, so why aren't they using it. Is this because this isn't a high profile, news worthy operation or is the FBI too understaffed and busy with Homeland Security issues. Maybe if we were rich they would take this seriously, but then if we were rich we would be using that criminal organizations services and protecting them instead of trying to shut them down. It is alleged that they launder money from Pacific Telecom through a trust bank account in Oregon and into foreign accounts at Scotiabank in Belize and other destinations.

Why hasn't the FBI used the RICO act and gone after this organization? On October 15, 1970, the Racketeer Influe

people keep calling here saying they are "sheriffs" and asking for "donations". we actually donated to them and they wanted a check put on the front door and they drove out and got it the next morning. i've talking to someone from here this year and told them we are no longer interested in donating to them but they KEEP CALLING from "private" and then leaving messages with different names - "Frank James" was the one today, the other one this year was "Bob Ellis" and there is 1 or 2 more names they have left, just saying "hi this is NAME, please give me a call" well it's really not fair since this is a business and when people call we have to call them back to see if it's about a job - these people SUCK. if they are really "sheriffs" or "police" at all - they are probably just collecting $ to get together to have a drunk fest. nice. we don't even get anything saying it was a "donation" they say they will give us tickets to some party or something that we never get. oh and those dumb window decals. STOP CALLING US!!! We are DONE donating to you!

Indian accented women who only idenitified herself as "Aliza" after I asked. She said she was from Microsoft and I had a virus that needed taken care of. She needed me to type in my password. When asked, she said her ph. # was 804 435 5325, but the caller id registered as 288 918 6555, which has many hits as a bogus phone call, phishing possibly. Hang up.

This is an employment agency, but many jobs are in Massachusetts. I guess it is a fairly new employment agency, so jobs in other states are few. If you have posted your resume online, they may have found you and are calling you to see if you are looking for employment. Hope this helps.
