I accidentally called this number thinking I was calling Sam's Club customer service. A recorded message indicated that "the merchants system was down." It went on to say, "For the inconvenience you will receive $100 voucher." I held the line and spoke to a representative who offered me the voucher for a one-time mailing fee of $4.95. I took the bait and then listened to several offers; all of which I declined. My instincts said to run but I didn't listen...in the weeks that followed the initial contact on July 11th, Bank of America has flagged my account for fraud twice. To combat the problem I called the number 888-745-7726 to complain and was given the run around. First, the supervisor told me that the "$2.95" charge would show up on my account as a purchase from "USPS" not for USPS but from. I asked that he verify their company NAME and explained that since they were not USPS the charge should show as their company. I explained that I declined all offers presented to me on July 11th, but have seen to charges from Family Save since contact. He told me they were not Family Save, however when speaking to the representative on July 11th I was told the charge would show on my account as Family Save. He referred me to another company and suggested that I call 1-800-555-1212 (this is the number for directory assistance). I called back or rather tried to call back and have seemingly been blocked. Family Save, the company that appears on my bank statement agreed to reverse their charges but could not explain how they had access to my account in the first place. Sam's Club customer service is 888-746-7726. It seems as though the company I called is waiting to pounce on consumers that intended to call Sam's Club but accidentally dialed them.To protect. Myself from. Future charges I have canceled the card a d will never be fooled again... If it sounds to good be true... Never give your information and debit account number to a business you did not intend to call.
